My wife and I paid $30 for the Sunday buffet, which I wouldn't mind if everything was top notch. Their toaster was broken. The restaurant floor was very dirty. The food was bland. The staff was nice. Especially the old guy making the waffles. The ceiling ventilation was in disrepair.
Just had a great burger in the restaurant. Went outside to the rudest bartender I have ever met. Several people sat down after me. All got waited on. He never even acknowledged I was there. I doubt I hear anything from this post ether!!!!!
I grew up in Calvert County, MD where Solomons Holiday Inn is located. I frequently stay at the Holiday Inn and I keep hoping the Restaurant called Isaac's will get better. Every year I tell myself I will never go there again. The hotel is nice. The restaurant hasn't improved in the past 10 ten years and stay once or twice a year!!! The prices are very high, which I wouldn't mind if the food was good. The buffet is bland. Do yourself a favor and go some place else close by. Or go there and be the next victim and repeat after me "I will never come here again." Come on Calvert Holiday Inn improve Isaac's.
the menu boasted buttermilk pancakes, golden brown. I ordered the breakfast pancakes with bacon and milk - that is how I like to eat my pancakes. They brought out the bacon, the milk and a pile of 3 pancakes. In hindsight the pancakes must have been microwaved they were 3 batter colored flat round and oblong shaped diskettes for pancakes. If they came from the grill, as advertised they would have had brown on them. I sent them back. Milk and bacon breakfast.
I’ve been a long term guest and the food is always over cooked. This time I even got spoiled ranch dressing that had lumps in it. After opening the lid to the dressing I was forced to throw away the rest of my meal because it became so unappetizing. The service at the bar is okay but overall it’s a terrible dining experience. Take out or dine in, you’ll regret it. Even if you call and complain they still don’t make things right. The workers are just here to collect a paycheck. They can care less about how their guests feel during their stay.
