Love this place. It's always a good meal. Open, spacious and well lit with natural light. Great outdoor seating with a beautiful water view. The Cream of Crab is amazing! I just can't say enough good things about The Lighthouse.
I love coming here and try to every time I'm down here for business. The tuna nacho is my go to meal. My friend lives the crab imperial and said it's the best thing on the menu. To bad I'm allergic to crab, otherwise I'm all over it! It's right on the water so in the summer I try to get a seat near the window. I can't recall if this place has outdoor seating in the summer.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Outside dining has a beautiful view. If you want really good crab cakes, this is the place. Get them angry for an extra zing of Chesapeake Bay spices. Best in Solomon's hands down and I've been to all of them.
Overpriced, poor service. I asked for a sample of the cream of crab soup and the server told me I could only try the soup base and there would be no crab in it. Either they're too cheap to include a shred of crab, or they add it upon plating and don't actually cook it with the base. Either way, not cool. Our soups, which are actually delicious, were brought without the hush puppies I requested to be served alongside. I sat with my napkin covering the soup to keep it warm, waiting for the hush puppies. The food runner brought the food and left without a word, twice. The crab pizza is horrible. If you appreciate artfully prepared food, just pretend it's not on the menu.
My son called to take us out for our anniversary at the Light House in Solomons. Now this was my first time at this place that so many people here in Southern Maryland brag about. I will not visit that place again. We sat there and watch two tables sit minutes after like 20 or so receive their food. I asked for the manager and told me our server forgot to place our order. Sorry not good enough. So to all those who love....like this place. Sorry they are off my list....
