This has caused me to pause and reflect on a malice nature of man.
Let's be honest, a few of the "Full time Live-Aboard" folks may not be as friendly as one would expect due to the extensive drinking that goes on in the back maintenance area. Not a child friendly environment! There may be a serious Electrolysis issue from one of the many abandoned boats. Some boats are for sale, but beware, most do not have titles and you may just wind up renting! The toilet and shower rooms may draw some concern with broken locks and some black mold. Watch out for the roaches coming into the bathrooms too!
Nice marina, managed by a super family that is willing to help boaters enjoy that far I lilies on Solomons Island.
Unwelcoming and inhospitable owner refused to rent me a transient slip on account of my older sailboat did not pass his vetting prosess.
Friendly place and good scenery. Prices per foot are average on slips, the folks are sincere and its got a great a great feel. Would recommend.
This marina is the biggest joke in the state! I have been in backwoods, redneck holes that are nicer than this place! The owner is a massive prick that thinks everyone owes him. If you dock a boat here BEWARE!!!!! he will say slip rent is one amount and bill your credit card another higher amount without any notice or explanation. If you are cooking out with friends he takes it upon himself to help himself. Since when is a glorified landlord entitled to raid a tenants fridge. Don't ever get gas from this dock. He takes the watered down spoiled gas from abandoned boats into the tanks. Can't tell you how many boats I have seen completely break down right after getting gas. He also clearly breaks the law by pumping the mandatory recycling waste back into the bay. Have a video of the owner himself doing this if I manage to figure out how to attach it I will.
