What a wonderful place! So much to see here. There is a discovery area where kids are able to touch marine animals (with the help of staff) kept in a viewing tank. There's sand for kids to dig for fossils (they can keep one they find) too. This is a great place to spend a few hours, and it's never crowded :)
We really enjoyed it here! Started out a bit sceptical, but the museum was actually really nice!
Lots of things to do, great for the family. Could have better summer concerts. Rarely do they have good shows. Though the one I went to was great.

Beautiful museum rich in local history. Great place to go on a hot summer day. Full of activities for children. The otters are adorable and fun to watch. Lighthouse tour is a neat gem. The gift shop has a great selection of children books, cool SOMD trinkets, and souvenirs.
